Hiking trip to Mount Mtirala
Route information
- Distance of the route: 20 km.

- Mountain height: 1300 meters.
- Time for hiking: 7 hours.
- Clothing: trekking boots or sturdy sneakers suitable for walking 7 hours on rocks and snow!
- Recommended clothing layers: long-sleeved shirt, sweater or hoodie, jacket, jeans.
- If it's windy, it's necessary to bring a scarf, hat, gloves.
- It's also advisable to bring extra socks and clothes if you are not wearing ski gear but regular clothes.
- Food: we had one sandwich, tea, and water, although we took two sandwiches, two apples, a few mandarins, and chocolate.
- If you're going to Mtirala, you'll need at least a liter of water and hot tea. You'll want to drink.
- There's one spring on the way where you can get water. Trekking poles are not necessary, but recommended.
- What else you'll need: seat cushions, sunglasses.
