Gorijvari Church
St. George's Church is located 4 kilometers from the city of Gori in the Shida Kartli district. In the XII century, the building served not only as an Orthodox church, but also as a defensive fortress, which more than once protected the settlement from enemy raids by the Turks.
Twice a year, Georgian believers honor the patron saint of the country, St. George, and the Gorijvari Church becomes a center of mass pilgrimage. From the hill on which the temple is located, there is a beautiful view of the untouched nature of Georgia.
There is a small bell tower next to the church, and the complex itself is surrounded by an ancient fence of the VIII century. Numerous destructions during the battles and the earthquake of 1920 led to the destruction of the foundation, so in the 1980s reconstruction took place here.

The Memorial Park, located near David the Builder Square, is dedicated to the tragic events of April 9, 1989. In the central part of the park there is a monument to the philosopher and writer Solomon Dodashvili, who was born in the village of Sighnaghi in 1805. The People's Educator edited the first Russian-language newspaper in the Caucasus, the Tiflis Vedomosti. He participated in a plot to plan an armed uprising to declare Georgia an independent country.
