We'll have to get to Jute first. There are several ways to do this: on your own by car, rent a local car with a driver, on foot and hitchhiking. Each of the methods has its pros and cons.
Being behind the wheel personally, you do not depend on anyone, but in some places the local roads leave much to be desired. And it's not safe to move along the winding mountain road. Hire a local driver? The disadvantage of this method is the high cost. Plus – "any whim for your money", well, or almost any.
You can walk. Some tourists use this option. It is suitable for those who have a lot of time, at the same time you can get acquainted with the beauties of local nature and view them along the way from all angles. Thus, the journey itself will begin a little earlier.
What about hitchhiking? If the budget is calculated to a penny, and you need to get to Jute quickly, then this method can be considered as an alternative to the first two, but there are no guarantees that you will get someone who wants to give you a ride on the way.
When you get to Jute, if you want or need to stay here for the night, you can stay at one of the local campsites or use your own tent and sleeping bag, which will be obviously cheaper.

On the way. Day 1
Before you set off, you will have to get permission from the border service – the track route passes close to the border of Georgia and the Russian Federation. To do this, you will need a passport. Then our way lies in the north-east direction. The difficulty of the route is that the trail is not always visible and passes along the scree, we are moving towards the Hde gorge. Attention and caution will be required. On the left side along the way there is a view of two mountains – Shino and Kuro.
They look, without exaggeration, monumental, and a tourist who sees something like this for the first time can make a very strong impression – the power and inviolability of the mountains is felt by every cell of the skin. In height, Shino and Kuro are about the same: just over 4000 meters.
As a result, on the first day of the journey we will reach the pass – the height above sea level is 3500 meters. Guides promise no problems with drinking water along the way, you can simply collect it here in the local river. Following the river bank after descending from the pass, we will find ourselves at the campsite. It is located on the shore, in a large field.
Day 2
The second day of the journey will give us a lot of emotions from meeting with a waterfall of amazing beauty. We will have to move downhill. It is impossible to call this segment of the path difficult, but you will have to pass a document check. After passing the waterfall and climbing the hill, our way lies in the Dariali gorge, where you can discover the sights of Georgia in the form of a monastery. It should be noted that fogs in these parts are not uncommon. It is advisable to have a GPS with you.
It is worth mentioning one of the local attractions of Georgia. In the village of Nadibani, located in these parts, there is a spring whose water is enriched with iron. Perhaps it's definitely worth trying it, but if you decide to stock up on it for the future, keep in mind that after a while it will become cloudy – "rust". The taste qualities of the natural source will not change. Regarding the properties of mineral water, expert advice is needed.
