Mural "Abstraction" on Tsar Parnavaz Street. Author: Gamze Yalchin
- Description
On Tsar Parnavaz Street in the heart of Batumi there is a work of art that cannot be passed by. This is the “Abstraction” mural, striking with its range of colors and complex curved shapes, as if frozen in a dance on the wall of a residential building. In every curve, in every spot of paint you can feel the soul of this amazing city.
Behind this work is the name of Gamze Yalcin, an artist with an extraordinary view of the world around her. Having started her career as an interior architect, she found her true calling in street art. The influence of Henri Matisse can be seen in her work, especially in the bold colors and plasticity of shapes.
Creating “Abstraction”, Gamze was inspired by the unique spirit of Batumi. A city where houses, like their inhabitants, do not stand still, constantly changing and transforming. Where every corner, every balcony, every rope with colorful laundry tells its own story. The mural "Abstraction" is a tribute to these unique stories, a tribute to the culture and traditions of the city.
