In the May 6 Park there is a bust of the outstanding Georgian writer David Samsonovich Kldiashvili. He is one of the most prominent representatives of critical realism in Georgian literature and has deserved recognition as a people's writer of the Georgian SSR. His work left a deep mark on the history of Georgian culture. Despite the fact that Kldiashvili passed away in 1931, his works still arouse interest and respect.
The installation of the bust in the park on May 6 is a tribute to the great writer and preserving his memory for future generations.

Скульптура времени явно требует ухода. Бюст Давида Клдиашвили в тихом уголке парка вроде бы и должен впечатлить, но реальность слегка разочаровывает. Издалека всё прекрасно, а вот вблизи – уже не то впечатление. Немного облупившаяся краска и пара мелких трещин портят общее восприятие. Казалось бы, такие детали – мелочь, а настроение уже не то. Всё-таки, хочется, чтобы памятники великому прошлому выглядели действительно достойно.
