The Public Health Center of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara plays a key role in ensuring the health and well-being of the region's population. Created by a decree of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and operating in accordance with Article 37 of the Law of Georgia “On Public Health”, the center aims to implement measures to protect the health of the residents of Adjara.

The Public Health Center includes the Department of Infection Surveillance and Immunoprophylaxis, as well as municipal branches in Batumi, Kobuleti, Khelvachauri, Keda, Shuakhevi and Khulo. Each department is equipped with the necessary personnel, including epidemiologists, to effectively implement measures to protect public health.
To strengthen its activities and expand its influence, the center actively cooperates with the administrations of municipalities in the region through memorandums of interaction. This allows him to effectively disseminate information about a healthy lifestyle and promote the importance of disease prevention among the residents of Adjara.
