Скульптура "Победа, мать благодарящая" была установлена в 1981 году. Она возвышается на вершине Большого каскада фонтанов, который начали строить в 70-х. В 1975 году там также появилась Могила неизвестного солдата. В настоящее время каскад находится на ремонте. Над проектом работали архитекторы Владимир Алекси-Месхишвили и Киазо Нахуцришвили, художник Зураб Церетели и скульптор Георгий Очиаури. Частично разрушенный скульптурный ансамбль "Реквием", посвящённый грузинским воинам, павшим за Родину, в 2009 году был перемещён ближе к горийской крепости, где постепенно демонтируется.

There isn't much to see up close that makes it worth the effort. The location is much higher than the park, and the stairs, if they exist, are in poor condition. The path leading up to the ethnographic museum is a downhill trail, meant only for bikes and not suitable for walking.

The location could benefit from improved upkeep, as there are signs of wear and graffiti. It's a fantastic spot for anyone fascinated by history and seeking stunning views of the city!

The complex is currently under renovation, but you can still take the stairs on the right side. Unfortunately, the base of the statue has been vandalized, though I believe it will be cleaned up soon. From this spot, there's a wonderful view of the Vake area.
