It's conveniently located near Freedom Square, right across from the public service hall, which is known for its distinctive white mushroom-shaped building. Overall, it's a nice spot, although some might find the selection a bit limited if they're looking for something very specific.

Not much to choose from. Unfortunately, there are hardly any hiking maps. We decided to rely on a phone app for our trek. You can buy gas cartridges here, but they're expensive. It's better to get them at Outdoor.ge.

There was a very limited selection available. I managed to buy just one small folded street map of Tbilisi; there was only one type available, and I was hoping to find one in Georgian for my studies. After looking around, the only other options were a small map of Georgia and a world map in Georgian. It's tricky to locate using Google Maps; you need to go through an iron gate at the dead end of number 3, pass through a small courtyard, then open another gate and turn left to find the entrance. It's more a place to order topographical maps of Georgia. They don't have street maps for cities outside Georgia, like Yerevan. There are a few Lonely Planet guides for different countries on sale. For a street map, you're likely better off visiting a bookstore. The salesgirl speaks a bit of English.

This is a nice little shop with a good selection of Garmin products. They also have decent topo maps of the Caucasus range. It's interesting that they sell gas there too. They offer MRS gas, which is of good quality but on the expensive side, priced at about 25 GEL/42 GEL. We found what we needed without any hassle.

They didn't have a single decent map of Georgia. The only one available was a small, glossy map similar to those handed out for free at tourism offices, but they were charging an outrageous price of 10 lari for it. The store seemed to only stock maps they had published themselves, so it didn't feel like a real map store at all.

This is the only place where you can buy topographic maps of the country. Some maps are even available second-hand for less than a euro. If you can't find the map of the specific area you want, you can request to have one custom printed (1/25, 1/50, or 1/100 scale). It only takes 20 minutes. An essential spot for preparing your hikes.
