Just like someone else mentioned, the speaking test started off on a sour note. When the examiner took my Russian passport, her expression changed noticeably—and it wasn’t a positive change. She stayed polite afterward, but I expected a higher level of professionalism. When I reported this to the local office, I got what seemed like an automated response saying everything was fine. I can't say for sure if my nationality affected my score since I don’t know how it was determined. I scored 7.5 out of 9 in the speaking section, even though I used varied vocabulary and grammar and spoke fluently. It’s clear there are tensions regarding Russians in Georgia, but I hoped such international organizations wouldn’t reflect that.

I am very disappointed with the behavior of the examiner (Maya Kiasashvili) during my IELTS test on November 1 at the Training Centre of Justice of Georgia in Tbilisi. The examiner acted unprofessionally, which affected my ability to do well in the speaking test. She shared her personal opinions on various topics, which I thought was out of place. Moreover, she was rude and discouraging, making it hard for me to concentrate on answering the questions properly. This created an uncomfortable environment that likely hurt my overall performance.

I took the IELTS exam here, and it exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly, the room comfortable, and the headset for the listening part worked great. The examiner for the speaking section was also very approachable. I ended up with a score that was better than I expected.

The staff was incredibly informative and supportive. She provided clear explanations about the courses and everything else. Her English is very fluent and smooth. Even though I'm a foreigner, she was very welcoming and genuinely tried to assist. Kudos to her 👍 The location is quite strategic, although the office space isn't large, probably because it's housed in an old building.

Ignore the negative reviews; the staff here are wonderful and attentive. I had an amazing time getting to know them. Wishing you all the very best!

Incompetent.

I took my IELTS exam here and was pleased with how everything turned out. The process was well-organized and smooth. Special thanks to Nick, the examiner for the speaking segment. I was quite nervous about this part, but he was incredibly friendly and put me at ease. Overall, a positive experience.

The level of unprofessionalism is astonishing. On the test day, there was loud talking in Georgian right outside the exam room, making it hard for me to concentrate. When it was time to collect my results, they casually told me to contact the center rather than delivering them. Once there, the receptionist made me wait on the staircase to receive my results, even though the office had plenty of seating. This is unacceptable for a $200 exam. The examiners didn't seem fair either — I got a band 8 in listening and only a 6 in speaking. They even called me from a number without caller ID before the test, trying to change the date, even though I had already paid. And surprise, when I refused, there were three others on my chosen date, despite a delay because of a Russian guy. The number of test-takers shouldn’t matter; they need to conduct the test professionally. Such unprofessionalism is a huge disappointment. Avoid taking your exam in this country unless it's absolutely necessary. Everything here is just bizarre.

Terrible experience.

This British organisation provides international cultural and educational opportunities. It also serves as a venue for the IELTS exam, including training and registration. The exam is conducted almost every month. Currently, the training fee is 750 GEL for ten sessions, held twice a week over a month. The training helps participants get familiar with the exam. Situated on Rustaveli Avenue, the location is accessible. Although the entrance is a bit hidden, it’s not too hard to find. The staff at the reception is polite and welcoming.

If you’re thinking about taking the IELTS exam in Tbilisi, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. You might find yourself dealing with their unprofessional behavior.

If you decide to join their course, a consultant will assess your skills to determine your appropriate level. After that, you can sign up for the IELTS exam preparation course or general English programs. The process is straightforward and convenient, though it might be better if they offered more detailed guidance during the assessment.
