  • Description

The Association of Internally Displaced Women "Consent" (IDPWA) in Tbilisi is a non-governmental organization that has been active in Georgia since 1995, originally created by displaced women from Abkhazia. The organization aims to create a peaceful, democratic and pluralistic society, ensuring equal rights for internally displaced persons and women affected by conflict. The main focus is on empowering women and youth through various programs for education, security and social inclusion.

The association offers a wide range of services, including legal advice, medical and psychological support, vocational training and social assistance. Particular attention is paid to vulnerable groups in regions with high densities of internally displaced persons and in areas close to conflict lines. The organization has regional branches in Samgrelo, Imereti and Shida Kartli, as well as integration and rehabilitation centers in Ergneti, Nikozi, Gardabani, Gori and Kazreti.

Conflict-affected persons, older persons, migrants, and former prisoners and persons under supervision are provided with counselling, educational services and vocational training. A visit to the Harmony Association will be useful for those who are looking for support and resources for integration and adaptation in the community, as well as for those who are actively interested in issues of women's rights and social justice.
