- Description
The Center for Human Rights in Tbilisi is a specialized organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights in Georgia. The Center is actively involved in monitoring and documenting human rights violations, ensuring timely reporting to various international organizations, including the European Union, Council of Europe, OSCE and the UN. The organization's main objectives include lobbying for legislative and police reforms, as well as addressing legal disputes related to violations of citizens' rights through free legal advice. The Center is actively working to increase public awareness of the human rights situation in the country through the bilingual online publication www.humanrights.ge. Through networking with human rights organizations at both the national and regional levels, the Center strives to build peace and democracy in Georgia through the protection and implementation of civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights. A visit to the Center will be useful for those who are interested in receiving legal assistance, have a desire to increase their level of awareness of human rights, or seek to participate in human rights activities.
