Journalism Data Center
- Description
The Journalism Data Processing Center in Tbilisi is an independent organization founded in 2011 by journalists Lasha Kveseladze and Giorgi Pkhachiashvili. The main mission of the center is to identify and expose abuse of power, corruption and nepotism through data analysis and processing. One of the Center’s key products is the “Connections” system, which facilitates the study of connections and conflicts of interest among officials.
The Center actively collaborates with local and international media organizations such as OCCRP to conduct rigorous investigative journalism. Promoting the development of data journalism in Georgia, the Center shares its experience through trainings and seminars, helping journalists check facts and replace fake news with verified information.
A visit to the Center will be useful for journalists, researchers and social activists seeking support in confirming facts and access to data analysis tools. The center adheres to strict journalistic standards, aims to present information objectively and make independent decisions without external influence.
