The life of the Jewish people on the territory of Georgia is a separate page in the history of the state.
The David Baazov Museum of the History of the Jews of Georgia and Georgian-European Relations was named after a Georgian-Jewish figure who fought for the independence of the Jewish people and the preservation of their community.
In the museum you can find many ethnographic exhibits that show the peculiarities of Jewish culture.
There are national costumes, collections of books and fairy tales, musical instruments, archaeological excavations, photographs and handwritten documents.
Previously, there was a synagogue on the site of the museum - a Jewish temple, but in the early 2000s it turned into a museum.
