Yes, it's true. Phage therapy works. If you're considering flying halfway across the world for this treatment, you're not crazy. For us, it was a lifesaver.

Here's our story: My wife had non-CF bronchiectasis and a multi-drug resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection. We were about to go with Avibactam and Cefepime next. She also battled an extra hospital-acquired E. coli infection in her intestines and urinary tract. After a C. Dif infection, we were cautious about traditional antibiotics since phages don't trigger C. Dif.

The off-the-shelf phage for Pseudomonas didn't work, but the customized one did. After starting the custom phage therapy, four tests showed no sign of P. aeruginosa. As for the E. coli, tests suggested resistance to commercial phages, yet, once back home, symptoms disappeared, and tests confirmed no E. coli presence.

I wholeheartedly recommend the team there. A few considerations:

    1. Georgia isn't ideal for those with lung issues due to widespread smoking outdoors. However, indoor public areas are smoke-free.
    2. If your infection is not well-controlled, it's best not to travel. If it's urgent, someone can bring your sample to the center and bring the phages back.
    3. Be aware that samples sent for remote treatment might get stuck at customs.
    4. Consider starting with distance treatment, as the staff is caring and professional. If dealing with a tough infection, the stress of international travel might not be helpful. Consult with your doctor and their team.
    5. If traveling to Tbilisi, I recommend staying at the nearby Ameriplaza hotel. It’s clean, nicely furnished, and reasonably priced.
    6. Use the Bolt app for local transportation.

Thanks to Dr. Lia, Dr. Lika, and all coordinators for their incredible support.

I traveled from the USA for treatment of a chronic UTI because antibiotics didn’t work. Phages were very helpful, though it took several rounds and some adjustments before I noticed improvements. Initially, my symptoms got a little worse, likely because of bacterial die-off, but I felt better afterwards and now have no symptoms. I had treatments both on-site and remotely. The customized phages are definitely worth the price for me. The only downside is the cost for foreigners, which is higher compared to Wroclaw, Poland. However, the ability to do remote treatments and send samples via FedEx was a great advantage.

Absoluter Betrug, keinen Stern wert. In der Apotheke auf dem Gelände kann man zwar Phagen kaufen, die eigentlich sehr günstig sind, aber eben nur für Einheimische. Sparen Sie lieber Ihr Geld, diese Therapie bringt überhaupt nichts.

Rip-off. They charge premium prices for phage therapy, which should be affordable. Consider going to Poland instead.

I’ve been free of bacteria related to Prostatitis for a year now. Antibiotic courses didn’t work for me and even caused C Diff. The staff here is incredibly caring and attentive to patients. No side effects experienced. Plus, Tbilisi is a beautiful city. This is a fantastic option instead of long-term antibiotics and the issues they bring.

My daughter is currently in Tbilisi for phage therapy. I'm very hopeful about the outcome. I'll share more details later.

I've regained my life after years of suffering. Five months ago, I decided to try phage treatment. Now I breathe easily, with so much air filling my lungs. No more antibiotics, and I'm full of life—absolute freedom.
