Zhiuli Shartava Senaki Local Museum

The Zhiuli Shartava Museum in Senaki is a historical institution founded in 1959 and located at the address: st. Shota Rustaveli, 150, Senaki. The museum is a non-profit legal entity owned by the Center for Student Youth and Culture of the Municipality of Senaki.
The museum's collection covers archaeological finds collected by expeditions in the Senaki region. The total number of stored items reaches 2000. The exhibition covers the period from the late Bronze Age to the late Middle Ages. Among the items in the collection you can find landowners' tools, bronze hand axes, belts, jewelry, homemade earthenware of original shape, antique dishes and much more.
The museum is open daily, except Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with an ID card), people with disabilities (with a valid ID) and refugees.
At the time of writing, the museum is hosting exhibitions entitled “Peoples of Achalsofele”, “Peoples of Zana”, as well as “The Lively Past” in honor of the museum’s 20th anniversary. In addition, the museum offers public classes through educational programs for those who wish to explore the history of this region in more detail.
