Do you want to try real Georgian tea? Do you know where to find one?

Oh! I know! Once we were in Guria — it's in the west of Georgia. There is an excellent Goodwill store there (another Smarty), they sell real Georgian tea "Shemokmedi".
I recommend this one! It's amazing: strong, beautiful color, delicious, and it smells like! The name comes from the village where this very tea is grown, harvested, dried, fermented and prepared for further sale.
If you are in Guria, be sure to buy it!

Listen, and maybe order online? I have heard a lot about Georgian tea, but I have never tried it ((I generally like white teas and oolongs, bound, green with jasmine, that is, all slightly fermented, which can be brewed several times.
Someone, please tell me, good Georgian online stores with real, authentic tea! There are such?! I really want to buy one!

Hello! I live in Georgia and I can help! I have real Georgian teas, such as were in Soviet times, if anyone is interested - write a letter to the post office: goga740@mail.ru .
I will be happy to share, I will sell bayh tea: large—leaved and finely chopped - I will tell you how to buy, I will help with delivery, I will answer any questions.
I have been making tea for many years, I know the secrets of its preparation, with what and how to serve it. Contact us!

There are two special establishments in the capital that sell real Georgian tea. The first one is Kindzmarauli str., 15; the second one is Paliashvili str., 80.
And also look in the Begeli grocery store (Gazaphuli str., 16). It is quite inexpensive there: a kilo of black tea will cost 18 lari, and a pack of 100 g. - from 1.5 lari. In ordinary shops you can find a special tea "Prince Gurieli". It is beautiful and famous for its victories at various tea exhibitions.
Really tasty, tart, rich in different shades. Well, if possible, tea can be purchased right where it is grown.
Here you will go on vacation, say, to Chakvi (a small resort village), and right there you will see large tea plantations. And, of course, there are shops where you can buy real Georgian tea.

Someone has already written about the store "Ran". I recommend it!
You can definitely buy real Georgian tea there, such as it was in Soviet times. In my opinion: one in one! Well, as far as I can remember that taste.
I think your dad will be delighted with such a gift and appreciate your touching care for him! The tea is amazing, with a rich aroma and a huge palette of flavors! You won't regret it! Address: Gazaphuli str., 16.

I know for sure that a real fragrant Georgian tea, with its deep, rich aftertaste, can be tasted in cafes and restaurants.
And if you look in stores, then take Gurieli or another equally popular Rcheuli - these are the most famous varieties (price from 3 lari). About "as in memories of the USSR" is more complicated.
Try to go to "Royal Coffee Georgia" (Tbilisi, Kindzmarauli str., 15), another option: "Coffee & Tea" (there, Paliashvili str., 80) for sure there is a similar tea there.
But still, the taste is a little different, not quite as it was before, but believe me, the tea is excellent in quality.

Georgia is a country proud of its centuries–old traditions and its tea. This is certainly not Japan, with its tea ceremony, but also a kind of "tea Mecca", if I may say so.
I advise you to look for real Georgian tea in Tbilisi at the Dry Market (a unique place – it corresponds to ancient Georgian traditions) or at the Deserter market, there is a huge selection there, and tea can be bought much cheaper than in other places.

As a frequent tourist from Russia, I will share my wisdom: real Georgian tea can be found in stores like Smart.
There is everyone there: not only black-green, but also yellow, red, loose and in bags. Rcheuli is popular, Gurieli is not inferior to it, and there is also a presentation option in a practical and beautiful metal jar (10 lari, which is approximately 250 rubles).
In Batumi (as in many cities), tea is available in small shops. Pretty good tea is made in Shemokmedi in Guria. In Tkibuli - factory tea, reminiscent of Soviet. In my opinion, it is very inexpensive, about 1.5 lari per pack of 100 gr.
There is a classic and with additives, I came across with a currant leaf. Of course, tea can be found in the bazaar, almost everywhere, even in tiny places like Sairme.
Personally, I brought 10 packs of tea on my last trip. The annual stock turned out))
