Narikala Fortress is located near the Botanical Garden in the city of Tbilisi. According to historians, the construction was founded in the 4th century. The fortress was built exclusively for the defense of the population. Around the 12th century, St. Nicholas Church was built here, which was later destroyed to the ground.
However, by 2004, it was restored and reconstructed, so this landmark can be seen from any central point of the city. In 2012, a cable car appeared, which allows easy travel throughout the complex without making huge efforts on a walking tour.
