The Museum of Fine Arts opened its doors to visitors for the first time in early October 2018. The entire exhibition is located in thirty halls on three floors. The entire exhibition gallery occupies a space of more than 7 thousand square meters, thanks to its rational location, the gallery can accommodate a large number of works of art (approximately six thousand square meters of canvas).
Here you can get acquainted not only with the works of world-famous artists, but also with Georgian masters of fine art. The paintings of Georgian artists are divided by the periods of their writing, here you can see both the works of the early twentieth century and the post-war period of the Second World War. The Art Gallery of Georgia meets the international requirements of temperature and light conditions for the preservation of paintings. The modern approach of the museum allows you to store even ancient canvases almost in their original form.
In addition to permanent exhibitions, seminars, lectures and educational programs are held on the territory of the gallery, for such types of events there is a conference hall with a capacity of more than one hundred seats.

Initially, the eagle figures were discovered during archaeological work on the territory of the Vani cauldrons — one of the western regions of Georgia.
