The museum's collection has about 500 items of storage: paintings, works of decorative and applied art, sculpture, etc. Ancient art and modern authors are represented here.
The main exhibition is located on the second floor. It is divided thematically and chronologically:
- art of ancient Georgia;
- soviet period;
- Russian, Eastern and Western European art.
The museum is particularly proud of the works of N. Pirosmanishvili, G. Gabashvili, L. Gudiashkili, D. Kakibadze and other Georgian artists. These are peculiar national treasures.
Temporary exhibitions of contemporary Georgian artists and sculptors are organized on the ground floor.
