The Church of the Holy Christ the Savior has been the property of many residents of Georgia for many years. It was built in 1887 by the local large Armenian community, which united with the funds from the general collection organized the construction.
But with the advent of the Soviet era, as well as other religious buildings, the Armenian-Gregorian church was dissolved, and the building was a state warehouse for a long time, and later even an observatory.
But many years later, thanks to the efforts of local Armenians, in 1992 the church still managed to win back and revive. A small restoration was carried out, and services resumed.
